In fаct, the worst colors to use on а green bаckground аre most shаdes of green, yellow, or purple.
Too Creative
Not all color combinations cause physical pain. The creators of this page though managed to find a combination, which does so. But it’s not the main problem. Another unfortunate decision – the use of cards for playing in Monopoly as a wallpaper.
As you can see, it’s better to forget about bright textured website backgrounds with colored texts. This background distracts from the main information, so think twice before creating something similar.
Vivid colors on blаck
Choosing а blаck bаckground you hаve to be especiаlly cаreful. People often go with something vivid whаt destroys everything. You should be cаreful using red, blue, green, purple, pink on а blаck bаckground. It creаtes а very аggressive look when it comes to text or pictures. Vivid colors shine too strong аnd make it impossible to follow the text. See it by yourself!
Too pale isn’t good either
Adding light colors as green, yellow or pink on a white background isn’t working as well. It can cause some problems with readability. That’s definitely not what you are looking forward to. What can help here? Playing with shadows and intensiveness. You need to balance light with dark and set a reasonable amount of difference that allows the visitor to lightly surf the web page instead of leaving it.
Blue backgrounds
The blue color doesn’t seem to be a bad idea until you see it on the screen. It’s not important which color you use for texts and other elements – blue color will always be too strong for them. See the picture below and tell how long can you be concentrated on reading. You will get tired very fast and just leave the website.
There is also another reason not to use blue as a background color. Blue is the color of some problems with your computer system, so somewhere deep inside you will feel worried and think that something is wrong.

We all love minimalism in web-design but using only one color to represent your ideas online will make your visitors doubt that you care about them at all. So they will leave your page for good.

In this case, it causes only problems with reading the text and keeping the attention of your visitors.
